Cathay takes great pleasure once again in being a host venue for the 20th Singapore French Film Festival.
Twenty-eight French films will be presented during the festival of which 26 will be featured at Cathay Cineplex Orchard Cineleisure. These include six titles from Cathay Keris Films, the film acquisition and production arm of Cathay Organisation.
A Cathay Keris title, Monsieur N. has been selected as the opening night’s film. Directed by Antoine de Caunes, this film was an Official Selection in the Berlin Festival 2003 and tells the story of a mysterious battle of Napoleon Bonaparte that has been kept secret for years.
Antoine de Caunes will be in Singapore for the opening night at the Esplanade Concert Hall. Plans are also underway for a dialogue session with Monsieur de Caunes during his visit to Singapore. Details will be provided soon.
