Cathay Bowl Pte Ltd, a subsidiary of Cathay Organisation Holdings, has been successfully organizing the annual Cathay Super Classic international bowling tournament since 1989.
This year marks the international tournament’s 17th year and the 40th anniversary of Cathay Bowl.
Cathay Bowl is proud to announce that the prize money for this year’s international tournament exceeds S$200,000 in cash ! (Please refer to the prizing structure in the appendix attached)
The top 40 bowlers in this tournament will walk away with S$97,650. The champion will take home S$25,000, 2nd placed S$12,000 and 3rd placed S$9,000. All in cash !
The prize money is the highest in the history of the Cathay Super Classic and the top prize of S$25,000 is the highest for any tournament in Singapore.
In addition to the top 40 cash prizes, there is the whopping S$100,000 cash Perfect Game prize. Plus, S$20,000 which we have set aside for a bonus payout in the semi-finals. The 17th Cathay Super Classic prize purse totals S$217,650.
The 17th Cathay Super Classic 2005 will take place at Cathay Bowl SAFRA Tampines from 26 to 30 July 2005.
The 17th Cathay Super Classic is sanctioned by the Singapore Bowling Federation, Asian Bowling Federation and World Tenpin Bowling Association.
